We are proud to announce that two Suttle & Stalnaker employees, Cailin Thompson, an Audit Staff Accountant and Sarah Henderson, a Tax Staff Accountant, have been honored with the prestigious Elijah Watt Sells Award which recognizes outstanding performance on the CPA Examination.
Each spring, since 1923, the American Institute of CPAS (AICPA) recognizes CPA candidates who obtained a cumulative average score above 95.50 across all four sections of the CPA Examination and passed all four sections of the exam on their first attempt. Candidates are eligible for the award in the calendar year following the year in which they complete testing.
Earning this special honor is no small feat. It is uncommon for two recipients, from the same firm, to receive the Elijah Watt Sells Award. This is the first time in 7 years someone from West Virginia has received this award. Approximately 86,000 individuals sat for the exam last year and only 110 CPA Candidates from across the U.S. won the award.
At Suttle & Stalnaker we believe in empowering employees to reach their highest potentials. We are proud to offer a variety of training and continuing professional education opportunities to all employees. Our commitment to development begins upon hire and continues through the career of the individual.
Congratulations Cailin and Sarah for this exceptional achievement!
