Miri Hunter is a tax and consulting member of Suttle & Stalnaker, PLLC and has over 25 years of experience in private and public accounting practice. Miri has significant experience in complex accounting-related issues, including those related to the energy industry, with a primary emphasis in the coal, oil, and gas sectors, as well as the construction and manufacturing sectors. She also specializes in tax and accounting services for auto dealerships and audits of employee benefit plans.

Miri received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and graduated magna cum laude from Frostburg State University.

Miri has completed extensive training and testing administered by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) and earned the designation of Certified Valuation Analyst. 

Miri is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Valuators and Analysts, West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (WVSCPA), and the Charleston Chapter of the WVSCPA.  She is a member of the Leadership West Virginia Class of 2013 and the recipient of the 2017 Women to Watch Experienced Leader award sponsored by the AICPA.

Miri is also active in the following civic organizations:  FamilyCare – Treasurer and Executive Committee member; The Counseling Connection – Immediate Past Chair and Finance Committee member; and Catholic Charities West Virginia – board member.
