Suttle & Stalnaker, PLLC offers salaries that are competitive with other similar sized firms in the area. Salaries are determined individually with such factors as desired workload commitment, educational achievements and related experience being considered. Additional benefits provided by Suttle & Stalnaker, PLLC include the following:

  • Medical and Prescription coverage (Highmark BCBS) for the employee is paid 100% by the Firm. The cost to add dependents is paid by the employee through a pretax premium deferral plan.
  • Dental coverage (Delta Dental) for the employee is paid 100% by the Firm. The cost to add dependents is paid by the employee through a pretax premium deferral plan.
  • Vision coverage (Vision Service Plan “VSP”) for the employee is paid 100% by the Firm. The cost to add dependents is paid by the employee through a pretax premium deferral plan.
  • Short term disability insurance paid 100% by the Firm, effective after 90 days of employment.
  • Long term disability insurance paid 100% by the Firm, effective after 90 days of employment.
  • Life insurance provided by the firm effective upon hire, at a rate of 3 times your annual salary up to a maximum of $200,000.
  • The S&S Cafeteria Plan allows employees the option of electing flexible spending accounts – employees can defer up to $2,550 for Medical purposes and up to $5,000 for Dependent Care purposes.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO), which combines vacation and sick leave and provides the employee flexibility in using their time off for the purposes that best suit individual needs. Monthly accruals are based on years of service.
  • Flexible work schedules.
  • Training is provided to all employees for each area/specialty they will be working in. This begins upon hire and continues through the career of the individual.
  • The firm provides all required Continuing Professional Education (CPE) annually.
  • Professional staff members are encouraged to obtain their CPA certificate as soon as possible. All candidates are allowed time off with pay to sit for the examination. The firm also reimburses for the exam fees.
  • Bonus for passing the CPA exam within 12, 24 or 36 months from full-time hire date (bonus amount is dependent upon timeframe).
  • The Firm supports membership and participation in appropriate organizations, such as the WV Society of CPA’s, the Charleston or Parkersburg Chapter of WVSCPA’s and the AICPA.
  • The firm has a “business casual” dress code policy; however, there are situations that require staff to dress professionally. Everyone should always have a neat, clean and pressed appearance.
  • Our Mentoring Program provides staff with the best opportunity to succeed in their career with Suttle & Stalnaker. Mentoring is a special kind of caring, supportive relationship or partnership between two people that is based on trust and respect. A mentor shares his/her knowledge and experience with the mentee to help him/her define and reach his/her career goals.
  • S&S staff within their first year of employment will be assigned a “buddy” to assist with day to day questions and help them become acclimated to the S&S work environment. A mentor will be assigned beginning in year two of employment.
