Manager

David Sampson is a manager primarily in the audit department of Suttle & Stalnaker, PLLC.  David has over 26 years of experience in public accounting and another 9 years serving as Chief Financial Officer for a public relations firm and a large local community bank. David specializes in audits and consultation services for construction industry clients. Prior to joining Suttle & Stalnaker, David was responsible for leading audits of several financial institutions.  He is also responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing tax consultation and planning for individual and business taxes, and communication with clients during the course of engagements.

David received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting in 1981 from Concord College (University) in Athens, WV.  He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1984.

David is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Charleston Chapter of the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

David has been active in the community, previously serving as President along with other offices of the Charleston Civitan Club and board member of the Charleston Civic Center. He has also served 3 three-year terms as elder at Village Chapel Presbyterian Church, and chairman of the stewardship and finance committee and treasurer for many years at the church.
